Study Naturale

Need for resources at study naturale, development of new teaching concepts for TUM students in general

The study naturale is a one-year orientation program with focus on mathematics and natural sciences of the Technical University of Munich.

You can find all the information at the homepage of study naturale.

The funds from central study grants are used for the study naturale to ensure its continuation. It is an important part of the study naturale to develop innovative interdisciplinary teaching concepts that can later be transferred to other study courses, so that the broadest possible spectrum of TUM students benefit from it. TUM also wants to support the realization of new course models in bachelor's degree programs and provides €25,000 per year to TUM departments for this purpose.

Within the studium naturale, successful teaching concepts have already been developed and evaluated during the past 4 years. The teaching sessions are already implemented in the Departments of Mathematics and Chemistry as well as the TUM School of Life Sciences Weihenstephan
