Targets
- Improving language and intercultural training and mentoring of international students of the TUM
- Covering the needs of the faculties for general language and subject-oriented lectures in German as a foreign language (DaF) to improve mobility and/or study skills of all international students at TUM
- Improving the linguistic and intercultural competence of the students
- Improvement of written language skills of international and exchange students who have to write exams, semester and final theses as well as reports in German as a foreign language
- Improving the preparation and debriefing of stays abroad as part of studies, internships etc.
- Improve the mobility capabilities of all TUM students
- Quality assurance, coordination and covering the needs of the departments for technical language lectures
- Improving English language Teaching of the TUM and thus also the linguistic and intercultural training of all TUM students
- Improving the language skills of the teachers and, if there is free capacity, the research service personnel at the TUM
- Improving the language skills, the written expression skills and intercultural training of all TUM students to improve mobility capabilityand international research competence
- To network of the offer with the teaching offer
- Improving the preparation and debriefing of stays abroad as part of studies, internships etc.
- Quality assurance of Teaching at the Language Center
- Improvement of administrative support and advice for all TUM students and the lecturers of the Language Center
- Maintaining and improving the administrative support and advice for all students and lecturers after the implementation of the extended measures of the Language Center, in particular:
- Discharge of the previous advisory and supportive secretarial position
- Extension to even more student-friendly opening hours of the Information Office
- Discharge of the organization of the increased number of events held during internationalization
