Construction measures of the TUM
TUM is always changing. Constantly, somewhere is being rebuilt, repaired, renovated and newly built. Since it is easy to lose track of everything, here is a list of all current and planned major construction measures that contribute to the improvement of study conditions. If you have specific questions, it is best to contact the person responsible for the corresponding campus.
New childcare facility at the TUM main campus designed by the renowned architect Francis Kéré
A new daycare center is due to be built on Gabelsbergerstrasse directly between the TUM main campus and the mensa, designed by renowned architect Francis Kéré.
In honor of the generous building owner, the facility will be named “Ingeborg Pohl Kinderoase an der TUM”. The official groundbreaking ceremony for this pioneering project took place on April 18, 2024. The new daycare center will offer space for up to 60 children and will further contribute to achieving a better balance between studying/working and family life at our university.
New TUM location at Munich Airport
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is establishing a new collaboration and innovation site at Munich Airport. Covering approximately 20,400 square meters within the LabCampus, the innovation hub at Munich Airport, the "TUM Convergence Center" will be created.
